FPD -7024 Fire Alarm Control Panels The FPD -7024 t=ire Alarm Control Panels (FACPs) can be used in commercial and public building applications such as schools, universities, manufacturing plants, and health care facilities. They are listed by UL for central station, local, auxiliary, and remote station systems. The FPD• 7024 FACPs support four on -board initiating zones that can be expanded to eight using the FPC -7034. Each initiating zone supports two -wire and four -wire detectors configurable as Class A , Style D or Class B, Style B loops. Each zone can support up to 20 two -wire detectors, or any number of four-wire detectors depending on available power. Each FACP has a built -in digital fire alarm communicator transmitter (DACT). Enhance the FPD -7024 conventional system features by adding a D7039 Multiplex Expansion Module. Adding a D7039 Multiplex Expansion Module to the FPD -7024 turns the conventional FACP into an addressable FACP. The D7039 adds up to 247 addressable points to the base system and adds an additional 400 events to the history buffer for a total of 499 events. The D7039 also increases the number of programmable relay outputs from 19 to 59 and expands system users to 100. • Four initiating zones (expandable to eight); up to 20 two -wire smoke detectors per zone • Built -in DACT • Two notification appliance circuits (NACs) on board with a shared internal regulated 24 VFWR, 4 A NAC power supply • Easily converts to addressable with the addition of a D7039 Multiplex Expansion Module • Programmable through front panel interface, remote FMR -7033 Liquid- crystal Display (LCD) Keypads, remote programming software (RPS), or DX4010V2 or DX4020 Notification Appliance Circuits (NACs) Two Class A, Style Z or Class B, Style V NACs provide up to 4 A of regulated 24 VFWR power to operate horns, strobes, bells, and other notification appliances. Each NAC can be programmed to provide Temporal Code 3, California March, steady, pulsed, and synchronized output for either Wheelock or System Sensor notification appliances. User Interface A viewing port in the locked control panel enclosure door shows the system status light- emitting diodes (LEDs) and liquid- crystal display (LCD) while maintaining system keypad security. Unlocking the enclosure door provides access to the system controls for silencing off - normal conditions, zone bypassing, detector resetting, testing, other fire functions, and programming. These functions are also available on all FMR -7033 LCD Keypads connected to the system. Organized Event Display Sorts alarm, trouble, and supervisory events into categories and allows scrolling through specific events. History Buffer The system stores events in a 99 -event history buffer. Note The number of events that can be stored M the history buffer increases to 499 with the 2 I FPD -7024 Fire Alarm Control Panels addition of a D7039 Multiplex Expansion Module. Central Station Reporting The FPD -7024 FACPs send reports to two telephone numbers (or iP addresses with a DX4020 Network interface Module installed) with full single, double, and backup reporting. They communicate In BFSK, SIA, Contact ID, Modem II1a2, and 4/2 and 3/1 Tone Bursts. Dirty Smoke Detector Monitoring All on -board zones and FPC -7034 zones are continuously monitored for smoke detectors signaling a dirty condition using the Bosch Chamber Check feature and CleanMe protocol. if a detector's smoke chamber is dirty, the detector sends a CleanMe signal on the two -wire loop or a dirty detector signal on the addressable loop. The control panel annunciates that there is a dirty detector on the loop or the address. The Chamber Check feature signals a dirty smoke chamber using the LED on the detector head. Accessories The FPD -7024 enclosure has space for additional accessory modules and two D1218 (18 Ah) batteries or two D126 (7 Ah) batteries. They are compatible with the FPD -7024 or D7024 Addressable Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACPs) and the DS7400XI Control Panel. They detect large smoke particles by scattering light from a pulsed infrared source operating with a gated, high- speed, photodiode infrared sensor. The symmetry of the optical chamber allows 360° uniform smoke entry, but minimizes external light entry. Use both of these smoke detectors for detection circuits installed in areas where personnel are present. The D7050TH has an added fixed- temperature sensor. This expands the detector application to confined areas where a fire increases air temperature slowly and where there is a substantial increase in air temperature before the fire breaks confinement, such as furnace rooms, closets, and other confined areas. ► Connects to the multiplex bus of the FPD -7024 or 07024 Addressable FACP and the DS7400XI Control Panel ► Superior dust immunity • Exclusive Chamber Check self-diagnostics ► Automatic sensitivity test features ■ Easy disassembly for cleaning Functions Detector Head and Base System The D7050 Photoelectric Smoke and Smoke Heat Detector Heads are part of a compound system of detector head and base. The detector base installs over a back box and contains all the wiring. The detector head attaches to the base by aligning the head with the base and turning it clockwise. No toots are required for installation other than the hex key used to tighten the tamper screw. Each detector head requires a D7050 -B6 detector base. Chamber Check Self - diagnostics The detector meets NFPA guidelines for sensitivity testing, because you can visually inspect the detector and check the flash rate of the LED. if the calibration is out of factory- listed range, the LED on the detector double flashes once every 3 sec to 8 sec. Follow the instructions provided with the detector to clean it. The detector also sends a dirty chamber report to the control panel. LED Operation When the detector is operating normally, the LED flashes once every 3 sec to 8 sec. In alarm, the detector flashes at least once per second. Magnetic Test Feature Test the detector's operation by placing the SMK -TM Test Magnet next to the detector's LED for three consecutive flashes. This causes the detector to send an alarm. www.boschsecurity.com 2 1 D7050 Serie Addressable Photoelectric Smoke and Smoke Heat Detector Heads Certifications and Approvals Region Europe Certification CE 89/336/EEC, EN55022: 1998, EN50130-4: 1995, EN60950: 2000, EN61000 -3 -2, EN61000 -3 -3, EN61000 -4-2, EN61000 -4 -3, EN61000 -4 -4, EN61000 -4 -5, EN61000 -4 -6, EN61000 -4 -11 USA UL FM CSFM NYC -MEA Hong Kong HKFSD UROX Smoke - Automatic Fire Detectors (UL268andA), UROX7:Smoke- Automatic Fire Detectors Certified for Canada (cULus) 7272 - 1615:175 12 -92 -E, Vol. 14 installation /Configuration Notes Compatible Products The following products are compatible with the D7050 Smoke Detector and the D7050TH Smoke Heat Detector: Category Product ID Control Panels FPD -7024 D7024 D7024 -EXP Detector Bases D7050 -96 Remote DRA -12/24 Annunciators Product Description FACP FACP FACPforexport Two-wire base 12/24VDC remote annunciator Interface Modules D8125MUX Multiplex bus interface module Parts included Quant. ' 1 302 Series` Rate - Anticipation Heat Detectors df- 50673:Rev • F -850 FlPeLITeeAL2i'fY1S by Honeywell Conventional Initiating Devices General The Thermotech 302 Series rate - anticipation heat detectors operate within a controlled range of two to three degrees of their set points, regardless of the speed or rate of temperature rise. These detectors are available in either 135 °F (57.2 °C) or 194 °F (90 °C) ratings. The 302 Series are normally -open devices designed espe- cially for fire detection and alarm systems. Features • Immediate response. The 302 Series activate whenever ambient air temperature reaches a detector's setting, elimi- nating the thermal time lag Inherent in conventional heat detectors. • Eliminates false alarms. The 302 Series do not respond to momentary temperature fluctuations below the selected temperature. • Universal application. The 302 Series can be used in all areas for any type of occupancy. • Self- restoring. • Hermetically sealed. Shock resistant, corrosion resistant, and tamper- proof. Principles Of Operation The 302 Series rate- anticipation heat detectors respond and activate the fire alarm immediately whenever the ambient tem- perature reaches the preset temperature setting. Under rapid heat rise conditions, the rate - anticipation feature enables the detector to respond one to three degrees ahead of the setting. At the same time, however, It does not respond to momentary temperature fluctuations below the selected protection level, thus eliminating false alarms. When temperature drops back down below the protection level, the detector automatically resets Itself. Dimensions (Model 302) Total overall length: 4 -1/8° (10.48 cm). Base diameter: 2° (5.08 cm). The 7788F/7744F Series Subscribers provide the wireless communications link between the fire alarm panel and the central station receiver. Ideal for most commercial fire alarm applications, each 7788F/7744F Series Subscriber is housed in a full- sized, red, locked steel cabinet and supports a range of alarm panel inputs, including EOL fire, EOL supervised, and direct voltage from the panel (non -fire applications). Supervised Operation AES Subscribers offer fully- supervised operation that includes monitoring of operating power (both primary AC and battery back -up) and the connection to the mesh radio network. Each subscriber "checks-in" with the AES central station receiver at least once every 24 hours. The supervision check -in time can be set to as often as needed for the application, as appropriate for the network. Because the central station operates the wireless network, there is no additional cost for air time to transmit supervisory signals. With white or red plastic housings, wall or ceiling mounting options, and plain or FIRE - printed devices, SpectrAlert Advance can meet virtually any application requirement, including indoor, outdoor, wet, and dry applications in temperatures from —40 °F to 151 °F. Like the entire SpectrAlert Advance line, outdoor horns, strobes, and horn strobes for wall applications include a variety of features that increase application flexibility and simplify installation. First, field - selectable settings, including candela, automatic selection of 12- or 24 -volt operation, horn tones, and three volume options enable installers to easily adapt devices to meet requirements. Next, SpectrAlert Advance devices use a universal mounting plate for both wall and ceiling applications. This mounting plate includes an onboard shorting spring that ensures wiring continuity before devices are installed, so installers can verify proper wiring without mounting the devices and exposing them to potential construction damage. Once the plates are mounted, all SpectrAlert Advance devices utilize a plug -in design with a single captured screw to speed installation and virtually eliminate costly ground faults. Outdoor devices ship with weatherproof plastic back boxes (metal back boxes are available separately) that accommodate in -and- out wiring for daisy chaining devices. Plastic back boxes feature removable side flanges and improved resistance to saltwater corrosion. Knock-outs located on the back eliminate the need to drill holes for screw -in mounting. Plastic and metal weatherproof back boxes come with 34 -inch top and bottom conduit entries and 34 -inch knock-outs at the back. A screw -in NPT plug with an 0 -ring gasket for a watertight seal is included with each back box. 1 1:y SpectrAlert Advance Outdoor Horn, Strobe, and Horn Strobe Specifications Architect/Engineer Spedfications y!
