MONDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2019
MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE HALL
6:00 PM
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm by Mr. Netto with the following members present:

Also present: Ysabely Rodriguez, Village Clerk
1. Public Comments: No public comments were offered.
2. Plans for the December 12 breakfast were discussed. Publix will not be donating; Starbucks will
donate coffee for 75 people. Ms. Swain will provide sugar, creamer, stirrers, etc. Mr. Netto will
pick up the coffee at 7:00 am, unless he is picking up bagels at Einstein’s. In that instance, Ms.
Duerkopf will pick up the coffee since she is picking up the donuts (2 dozen were promised and
we will purchase more) at Dunkin’ Donuts
Board members have received promises for raffle prizes from Flight, Sins, HomeCrush, Proper
Sausage, and Smoothie Express. We will continue to solicit businesses for more raffle gifts. Ms.
Duerkopf added that she thinks it is important for every guest to receive something; Board
members agreed to contribute $20 per member to cover the cost of Christmas ornaments and
wrapping. Ms. Duerkopf will purchase and prepare those gifts.
The Board agreed to create communication to be posted on social media requesting donations
from community members to use towards food and more raffle prizes. Checks payable to Miami
Shores Village with a note EAB can be dropped off at Miami Shores Village Hall.
Ms. Anderson, Ms. Rodriguez, and Ms. Vignale will get to Miami Shores Elementary at 6:45 to set
up and decorate.
3. Mr. Netto has been in touch with the Vice President of the PTSA. Mr. Jimenez has also reached
out. Mr. Netto will contact Ms. Swain about how we can support the PTSA. Mr. Jimenez will ask
the PTSA if they would like to donate to the breakfast.
School representation on the EAB was discussed. Ms. Rodriguez stated that it is common on
EABs to have residents, PTSA representatives, and school representatives such as the principal
or assistant principal on the Board.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
