R-0716-81 RESOLUTION NO. 716-81 A RESOLUTION TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPART- MENT OF TRANSPORTATION SETTING FORTH THE PUBLIC POLICY OF MIAMISHORES VILLAGE AS REGARDS TRANSPORTATION AND CIRCULATION AND IN PARTICULAR 103rd STREET. WHEREAS, Miami Shores Village is a municipality incorpor- ated under the laws of the State of Florida; and WHEREAS, the Miami Shores Village Council and Planning Board have adopted a Comprehensive Plan as required by State Law dated February 15, 1979; and WHEREAS, said Plan makes provision for transportation and circulation; and WHEREAS, the transportation and circulation element provide a series of policy statements; and WHEREAS, said policy statements are part of our Future Land Use Plan policy; and WHEREAS, our future land policies are designed and intended to preserve the residential character of the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: (1 ) Miami Shores Village asks that 103rd Street from N. E, 2nd Avenue to N. E, 6th Avenue remain residential and no plans be made to widen thiis street. (2) That a copy of the Comprehensive Development Plan as regards Future Land Use be forwarded to the Florida Department of Transportation. (3) Miami Shores Village requests specific notification of any intent to alter the traffic flow or configuration of streets presently under State jurisdiction or to be placed under State jurisdiction in the near future. (4) D!atsai.d notification be given in ample time for the Village to be involved in the early planning stages of such changes. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 21st DAY OF JULY, 1981" / r- Rober .
