R-0660-79 y RESOLUTION NO. 660_7q RESOLUTION OPPOSING AN INCREASE IN DENSITY_ OF THE QUAYSIDE DEVELOPMENT. WHEREAS, the present density as previously approved is 12.6 dwelling units per acre, and WHEREAS, this density was included in the Biscayne Shores study, and WHEREAS, the covenant as contained in the official Record Book 8693 at pages 362 through 365 cannot be amended as to density by the Board of County Commissioners, and WHEREAS, the proposed development would increase the density to 31.87 dwelling units per acre, as well as increase the recommended height of buildings, and WHEREAS, the County has gone on record that they do not have sufficient manpower to service the development, and WHEREAS, the Developmental Impact Committee has recommended denial of this project without prejudice. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE as follows: Section 1. The Miami Shores Village Council requests that the Honorable Mayor and members of the Board of County Commissioners affirm the recommendation of their professional staff as constituted in the Developmental Impact Committee in that the proposed expansion of Quayside is contrary to the Dade County Comprehensive Plan and will adversely impact the residents of Miami Shores Village, and should, therefore, be denied.
