R-0596-76 � L RESOLUTION NO. 596 _ RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE III, SECTION 26, OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE CHARTER, REQUIRING A MINIMUM OF THREE AFFIRMATIVE VOTES OF THE COITNCIL ON ALL MATTERS WHEREAS, the Council of Miami Shores Village believes that the resident voters of Miami Shores Village should have the right to determine whether they wish to require a minimum of three (3) affirmative votes on all matters of the Council, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Miami Shores Village that this Council hereby approves the proposed amendment to Article III, Section 26, of the Miami Shores Village Charter, attached hereto, providing that all actions of the Council shall require a minimum of three (3) affirmative votes. PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of January, 1976. MIAMI RE'S VILLAG By: Mayor Attest: A de'� Village Clerk PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE III, SECTION 26, OF THE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE CHARTER Article III, Section 26, Council Induction into Office, Meetings Effective May 1, 1976, newly elected councilmen shall be inducted into office on the first Tuesday next following their election, after which the Council shall meet regularly at such times as may be prescribed by its rules or upon call of two or more members. All meetings of the Council shall be open to the public. The Council shall fix its rules of procedure, and shall act in all matters, �a -a- ash - ee-e - ese-�aeset� upon not less than three (3) affirmative votes, a majority of the Council being neces- sary for a quorum, but less than a quorum may adjourn to a specified time. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Words stricken through shall be deleted.
