R-521-71 RESOLUTION NO. 521 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE COUNCIL ELECTION HELD ON APRIL 13, 1971. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA: Section 1. That a canvass of the returns made by the duly appointed Election Board to conduct the Council election held on April 13, 1971, discloses that 2399 votes were cast at said election, including 58 absentee ballots, this being out of a total of 5812 qualified electors residing in the Village. Section Z. That said returns disclose that the ten candidates for the office of Council received votes as follows: Montgomery Atwater 922 Marty Berg 235 Charlie B. Brooks 204 Raymond L. Clement 1026 Robert E. Day 948 Marjorie A. Dunn 995 Kenneth R. Greenblat 114 Elwood "Sonny" Jones 1187 Donald W. McIntosh 948 George L. Onett 276 Section 3, That Elwood Jones receiving 1187 votes and Raymond L. Clement receiving 1026 votes are hereby declared to be elected to four-year terms as Councilmen of Miami Shores Village and that Marjorie A. Dunn receiving 995 votes is hereby declared to be elected to a two-year term as Councilwoman of Miami Shores Village. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of April, 1971. Mayor ATTEST: Village Clerk
