R-517-70 RESOLUTION NO. 517 A RESOLUTION OPPOSING ADOPTION BY THE DADE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ORDINANCES TO REDUCE THE VILLAGE'S REIMBURSEMENT FROM TRAFFIC COURT FINES AND FORFEITURES. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Dade County, Florida has adopted, on first reading, an ordinance which would reduce the Village's reimbursement from Traffic Court fines and forfeitures by its pro-rata share of an annual payment of $200, 000. 00 for the State Attorney's budget, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Dade County, Florida also has under consideration an ordinance which would further re- duce the Village's reimbursement of Traffic Court fines and forfeitures by its pro-rata share of an annual $200, 000. 00 payment towards the Public Defender's budget, and WHEREAS, the Village was not informed prior to the adoption of its budget for the fiscal year 1970-71 that the ordinances were to be con- sidered, and WHEREAS, adoption of the ordinances would create a budget problem for the Village; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA: 1. That it go on record as opposing adoption of the ordinances by the Board of County Com- missioners of Dade County, Florida. 2. That it support the activities of the Dade County League of Municipalities in opposing adoption of the ordinances. 3. That the Village Clerk be directed to send copies of this resolution to the members of the Board of County Commissioners, to all Dade County municipalities and to the Dade County League of Municipalities.
