RESOLUTION N0. 317 WHEREAS, Por many years last past the people of Miami Shores Village have been adequately served by the maintenance of several transportation routes of Miami Transit Company; and WHEREAS, during the period in which such service was maintained the Florida Railroad and Public Utilities Commission, without adequate notice and an opportunity to be heard on the part of the people or the Council of said Village, greatly cur- tailed the activities in said Village of Miami Transit Company and so altered the conditions under which service was being rendered as to render it virtually impossible for Miami Transit Company to furnish adequate transportation facilities to the inhabitants of said Village; and WHEREAS, as the result of the aforesaid action of the Florida Railroad and Public Utilities Commission, Miami Transit Company was virtually obligated to abandon certain of its routes and to cease to render service thereon with the result that a large number of the inhabitants of this Village were left without adequate transportation, and WHEREAS, the people and the Council of this Village have never had a real opportunity to present to the said Commission evidence relative to the existing condition; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE THAT: 1. The conditiore with respect to the facilities for pub- lie transportation in Miami Shores Village are intolerable and cannot be justified under existing laws, rules and regulations. 2. The people of this Village are being greatly incon- venienced from day to day in going about the ordinary affairs of life and traveling to and from their homes and going to their work and in transacting normal business. 3.
