A RESOLUTION PROVIDING THAT THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 2522-C OF THE HOUSING AND RENT ACT OF
JUNE 300 1947, PUBLIC LAW NO. 129, EIGHTIETH
CONGRESS, FIRST SESSION, AS AMENDED, AS TO
MIAM I SHORES VILLAGE, SHALL CEASE AND DETERMINE,
AND THAT THE RENTAL HOUSING ACCOMMODATIONS IN
SAID VILLAGE SHALL NO LONGER BE SUBJECT TO THE
CONTROL OF THE HOUSING EXPEDITER OR THE PROVISIONS
OF SAID ACT; AND PROVIDING THAT A COPY OF THIS
RESOLUTION BE SENT TO THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE
OF FLORIDA FOR HIS APPROVAL.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2522-C, of the Housing and
Rent Act of June 30, 1947, Public Law No. 129, Eightieth Congress,
First Session, as Amended, the Village Council of Miami Shores
Village did, by Resolution duly adopted, call a public meeting
for the purpose of determining whether there longer exists such a
shortage in rental housing accommodations as to require rent con-
trol in such Village; and
WHEREAS, such meeting was duly held within the time re-
quired by said law and, after said meeting was held, it was found
by the Village Council of said Village, being the governing body
thereof, that there no longer exists such shortage in rental hous-
ing accommodations as to require rent control in said Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE:
That the provisions of said Act as to this Village shall,
from the effective date of this Resolution, cease and determine,
and the rental housing accommodations in this Village shall no
longer be subject to the control of the Housing Expediter or the
provisions of said Act.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a copy of this Resolution
be sent to His Excellency, the Honorable Fuller Warren, Governor
of the State of Florida, for his approval•
