R-264-44 r RESOLUTION f WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the Miami Shores Village Council that an application is pending before the Dade County Zoning Commission to re-zone for business uses the following described property, to wit: East One Hundred Fifty (150) feet of the following described property, to wit: Begin at a point on the North line of Lot 3 of Block 14, according to the Plat of the subdivision of the property of Julia D. Tuttle lying in Sections 30, 31 and 32 of Tovnship 52 South of Range 42 East, accord- ing to the Plat thereof recorded in Plat Book "B" at page 4 of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida, which point is 500.96 feet East of the Northwest cor- ner of said Lot 3; thence run East and along the North line of said Lot 3, a distance of 799.07 feet and to the Nest line of Northeast 6th Avenue; thence run South and along the West line of Northeast 6th Avenue a distance of 219.65 feet to the South line of said Lot 3; thence run West and along the South line of said Lot 3, a distance of 799.07 feet to a point 500975 feet East of the Southwest corner of said Lot 3; thence run North a distance of 220.37 feet to the point or place of beginning, containing 3.96 acres, more or less. and, WHEREAS, it appears that said property described above is located on the West side of Northeast 6th Avenue at approximately 106th Street at a distance of less than one City block from the Northern boundary of Miami Shores Village, and WHEREAS, it is deemed for the best interests of Miami Shores Village, its property omers, taxpayers and residents, that said app3.ication to re-zone the above-described property be opposed, NOIR THEREFORE, be it unanimously RESOLVED by the Miami Shores Village Council in regular meeting assembled, that the application to re=zone the above- described property for business uses be opposed and is hereby objected to for the following reasons, to wit: (1) That said property is now vacant and has heretofore been used for agricultural and gardening purposes only. (2) That said property is not located within a business district and can- not reasonably be used for business purposes within the near future. (3) That said property lies within one City block of the Northern boundary of Miami Shores Village and the nearest property within the Village limits is zoned for residential purposes only.
