R-252-42 MIAMI SHORES VILUGE RESOLUTION Woo 252 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTa ING THE INSTALLATION OF SIRENS IDT MIAMI SHORES VILUGE FOR THE PURPOSE OF SPREADING .SIR RAID AL&RMS a WAS, it is considered necessary to provide an air raid alarm system in Klaxml Shores Village during the present emergency, and. M3EMS# a committee, consisting of L.C. Childress, Chair- man, Earl Dutton, Merton Hale, James W. Laird, Marshall G. Luce, the Mayor and Village Manager, has investigated a siren construct- ed in the Village shop, and, has witnessed tests of said siren, and WHIMEA * said committee has found that four sirens of this type will be sufficient to spread an alarm to the residents of this Village* Three of said sirens to be powered by electtic motors and one to be powered by gasoline motor, and WHERM, said committee proposes that this resolution be adopted in the interest of public safety to the citizens of this Village NOff THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY MIAMI SHORES VILTAGE, Section 1. That the sum of not to exceed $600.00 be and is hereby set aside from the contingent fund for the purpose of purchasing material to construct and install said sirensq Section 2. That said committee is hereby authorized and directed to select and designate locations in. Miami Shores Village at which said sirens shall be placed.
