R-01-36 (2) A x RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A SUCCESSOR TO THE PRESENT MUNICIPAL JUDGE AND FURTHER PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF AN ASSOCIATE JUDGE TO ACT IN THE PLACE AND STEAD OF THE MUNICIPAL JUDGE AT ALL TIMES DURING THE ABSENCE, INABILITY TO ACT OR WHEN DIS- QUALIFIED TO PRESIDE IN THE VILLAGE COURT BY REASON OF PREJUDICE, INCONVENIENCE OR OTHER- WISE, AND VESTING SUCH ASSOCIATE JUDGE WITH ALL THE POWERS OF MUNICIPAL JUDGE AND PRO- VIDING FOR HIS COMPENSATION AND TENURE OF OFFICE. WHEREAS, N. R. Field, Judge of the Village Court of Miami Shores Village, has removed from the Village and is no longer a resident . thereof, and WHEREAS, it is the consensus of the Council that whenever possible residents of the Village should be employed and retained to carry on the functions of this municipality, and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to have an Associate Judge of the Village Court to act during the absence of the Judge of said Court by reason of sickness, inability to serve, prejudice, inconvenience, or otherewise. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That be, and he is hereby appointed as Judge of he Village Court of Miami Shores Village to succeed N. R. Field, as aforesaid, with all the power and authority in him vested by and subject to the conditions and restrictions of the Charter, laws and ordinances of the Village to serve at the pleasure of the council and to receive compensation therefor heretofore fixed by law.
