O-504-87 ORDINANCE NO. 504-87 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-81 (b) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA; REMOVING TWO-YEAR LIMITATION UPON DURATION OF CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD LIENS; PROVIDING EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA: Section 1. Paragraph (b) of Section 2-81 of the Code of Ordinances of Miami Shores Village, Florida reads as follows: (b) Duration of Liens. No lien provided by this article shall continue for a longer period that two (2) years after the certified copy of an order imposing a fine has been recorded, unless within that time an action to foreclose on the lien is commenced in a court of competent jurisdiction. The continuation of the lien effected by the commencement of the action shall not be good against creditors or subsequent purchasers for valuable consideration without notice, unless a notice of lis pendens is recorded. Section 2. Paragraph (b) of Section 2-81 of the Code of Ordinances of Miami Shores Village, Florida shall stand amended to read as follows: (b) The lien provided by this Article shall continue in perpetuity unless otherwise limited by the laws of the State of Florida. Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon adoption. PASSED on f irst reading this 6th day of January 1987. PASSED AND ADOPTED on second reading this 20th day of January 1987.
