AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9-42 OF THE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE
CODE OF ORDINANCES, MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA; INCREASING
WASTE FEES; PROVIDING EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That so much of Section 9-42 of Chapter 9, Miami Shores Village
Code of Ordinances, which reads as follows:
Section 9-42. SCHEDULE.
Effective October 1, 1985, each person, firm, corporation, partnership
or other legal entity who is the owner of each lot, tract or parcel of
land in any area in the village where waste collection service is
provided by the village, shall pay for residential and commercial refuse
collection the following fees:
(1) Residence . . . . . . . . $213.00

b. Special pickups, min. . . . . . . . . . . . 18.00
Tree limbs and branches, per village
truck load . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 90.00

(3) Apartments:
a. Rental (each thirty-gallon can per unit) . 106.50
b. Condominium and co-op (each thirty-gallon
can per unit) or container rates . . . . . . 106.50
(4) Hotels and motels, no cooking facilities:
a. 1 through 4 units (maximum of I thirty-
gallon can per 2 units) . . . . . . . . . . 213.00
b. Over 4 units, per unit or yard container
rates . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 33.36
is hereby amended to read:
Section 9-42. SCHEDULE.

land in any area in the village where waste collection service is
provided by the village, shall pay off residential and commercial refuse
collection the following fees:

(3) Apartments:

(4) Hotels and motels, no cooking facilities:
a. 1 through 4 units (maximum of 1 thirty-
gallon can per 2 units) . . . . . . . . . . 245.00
Section 2. That the Council hereby finds and determines that there is
an immediate need for the adoption of this ordinance without delay and, therefore,
same is hereby adopted on first reading as an emergency ordinance.
