O-467-84 ORDINANCE NO. 467-84 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II, CHAPTER 4, MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE CODE OF ORDINANCES; RESTRICTING THE NUMBER OF CATS PER HOUSEHOLD OR BUSINESS ENTER- PRISE; PROHIBITING THE ABANDONMENT OF CATS AND PROVIDING FOR REMOVAL OF STRAY OR ABANDONED CATS. BE IT ORDAINED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE: Section 1. Article II of Chapter 4 of the Miami Shores Village Code of Ordinances, is hereby amended to include Section 4-24, which shall read as follows: "Section 4-24. It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or harbor at his home or place of business more than four cats over six months of age, and it shall be unlawful to abandon a cat or to keep or harbor any cat which engages in frequent or habitual crying and meowing. Stray or abandoned cats shall be subject to removal from Miami Shores Village to be humanely disposed of in a manner authorized by the laws of Dade County Florida." Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective on the date of adoption. PASSED on first reading this 7th day of August, 1984. PASSED AND ADOPTED on second reading this 21st day of August, 1984.
