O-250-53 ORDINANCE NO. 250 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 92 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE BY ADDING TO SECTION Z-19, OF ARTICLE VI, SUB-SECTION (17) A PARAGRAPH REGULATING AND RESTRICTING THE LOCATION OF GASOLINE AND OIL FILLING STATIONS OR SERVICE STATIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE: Section 1. That Section Z-19, of Article VI, of Ordinance No. 9Z, known as the Zoning Ordinance of said Village, be and it is hereby amended by adding thereto Sub-section (17), the following paragraph: "That no gasoline and oil filling station or automobile service station, with the exception of those for which permits have already been granted, shall be erected or located within 750 feet of any other gasoline and oil f illing station or automobile service station, or within seven hundred and fifty (750) feet of any church or school. Such distance shall be measured in the case of another filling station or church, by following the shortest route of ordinary pedestrian travel along the public thorough- fares as prescribed by the Police Department of Miami Shores Village, from the main entrance of the place of business to the main entrance of the other filling station or church and, in the case of a school, by follow- ing the shortest route of ordinary pedestrian travel along the public thoroughfares as prescribed by the Police Dept. of Miami Shores Village, from the main entrance of the place of business to the nearest point of the school grounds in use as part of the school facilities. Section 2. That in all other respects said Ordinance No. 92 is unaffected by this amendment. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
