ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING TO
PUBLIC USE FOR STREET PURPOSES THAT
PART OF NORTHEAST lc4TH STREET IN
MIAMI SHORES VILLkGE,, nORIDk LYING
BETWEEN THE EAST" LINE OF NORTHEAST
5TH, AVENUE AND THE WEST LINE OF
NORTHEAST 6TRAWN01 '.
%HEREAS'. The, Board of Public instruction of �
Dade Countyt Floridali now the owner of Block 112
' Section of Miami Shores according to plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book 10 Page 47 Public Records of
Dade County, Florida, whereon said Board maintains and
operates a school site and school center .knovn and desig-
nated as Miami Shores Elementary School; and ,
WHEREAS, said Block 112 being found ta=b*:.
�insufficient to provide adequate playground and recreational
facilities for the pupils of said Miami Shores Elementary
School, said Board has purchased and is now the ovner
� of the whole of Block 111 of Miami Shores, Section No. 5,
according to amended plat thereof ,recorded in Plat Book
10 at. Page 1+71 public.'r. ecords aforesaid, acquired for the
purpose of expanding- said Miami Shores School site and to
provide adequate playground- and recreational facilities
and for such other school purposes as said Board shall
find to be necessary- and expedient- and
WHKMS, Northeast 104th Street,, as the same,'exists
betvaon the East line of Northeast 5th Avenue and the West
line, of Northeast 6th Avenue, lies between and separates
the two above described tracts of land and prevents the
full utilization thereof for the purposes aforesaid and the
continued use of the same for street purposes �constitutes,
hazard and danger to the life and safety of the pupils of
said school using said school site as intended to be maintained
and operated; and it being the consensus of the Council of
Miami Shores Village that to vacate and close said part of
said Northeast 104th Street to public use for street purposes
will be to the best interest of the village and the residents
thereof;
NOW9 TBEREFOREI' BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of
Miami Shores Village, Florida that Northeast 104th Street
lying between the East line of Northeast 5th Avenue and the
West line of Northeast 6th Avenue be, and the same hereby is,
vacated and closed to public use for street purposes and is
hereby dedicated to said The Board of Public Instruction of
Dade Countyv Florida for school purposes for so long only as
the same shall be used for the purposes aforesaid.
