AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE ORDINANCE NO. 92
ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE ERECTION,
RECONSTRUCTION, ALTER&TION, LOCATIO-11 XM USE OF BUILDINGS,
STRUCTURES, LAND AND WATER, FOR TRADE, INDUSTRY, RESIDENCE
OR OTHER PURPOSESt TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE SIZE AND
HEIGHT, NUMBER OF STORIES, CUBICAL CONTENTS, CONSTRUCTION
AND AREA OF BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES HEREAFTER ERECTED
OR ALTERED, THE SIZE AND DIMENSIONS OF YARDS, COURTS AND
OTHER OPEN SPACES SURROUNDING BUILDINGSt TO REGULATE AND
RESTRICT BUILDING LIVES AND THE PERCENTAGE OF LOT.THAT MAY
BE OCCUPIED, AND THE DENSITY OF PUFULATIONt AND FOR SAID
PURPOSES, TO DIVIDE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE AS SHOWN ON THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP, INTO DISTRICTS OF SUCH NUMBER, SHAPE,
AND AREA AS MAY BE DEEMED BEST SUITED TO CARRY OUT THESE
REGULATIONS, AND FOR EACH SUCH DISTRICT TO IMPOSE REGUU-
TIONS AND RESTI&CTIONS DESIGNATING THE KINDS OR CLASSES OF
TRADES, BUSINESSES, RESIDENCES OR OTHER PURPOSES FOR WHICH
BUILDINGS OR OTHER STRUCTURES OR PRMSES MAY BE PERMITTED
TO BE ERECTED, ALTERED, OR USEN TO PROVIDE METHOD FOR AMEND-
MENT, SUPPIMMENT, CHANGE, MODIFICATION AND REPEAL OF REGUIA-
TIONS, RESTRICTIONS AND BOUNDARIES; TO PROVIDE A METHOD OF
ADMIVISTRATION; TO PROVIDE FOR THE ENFORCEMENT; TO PROVIDE
FOR THE PRESERVATION OF RECORDED SUBDIVISION RESTRICTIONS OF
INCLUDED SUBDIVISIONS; TO PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATION OF USES;
REPEALING ALL IAN!; IN CONFLICT; AND TO PRESCRIBE PENALTIES
FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE PROVISIONS OFTHIS ORDINANCE;"
BY CHANGING LOTS 1. 2, 33, AND 4 IN BLOCK 59 MIAMI SHORES SUB-
DIVISION FROM ZONE U TO ZONE,Il j, AND ADOPTING AJL PENALTIES,
TERKiS, AND PROVISIONS'OF SAID ORDINANCE NO. 92 NOT ALTERED
HEREIN*
WHEREAS, the present fee owner of Lots 1, 2,' 3, and 4 in Block 59 Miami
Shores Subdivision has petitioned for a change of -Zoning on said property,
from Zone U (Utilities, public or private) to Zone Il (Business, light manu-
facturing and warehousing district).
WHEREAS, notioewas given and a public meeting held in accordance with
the terms and provisions of the general zoning Ordinance No. 92, and
WffEREAS, all persons present at I said public meeting voted in favor of said
zoning change*
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by Miami Shores Villaget
Section lo That Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Block '59 Miami Shores Subdivision
be and the same are hereby changed from Zone U (Utilities, public and private)
to Zone Il (Business, light manufacturing and warehouse district).
Section 2. That the zoning map which is a part of Ordinance No. 92 and
referred to therein in Section Z-2 be and the same is hereby amended to con-
form with the terms and provisions of Section I of said Ordinance.
Section 3* All penalties, terms, conditions and provisions of said
Ordinance No. 92 not altered or amended by the adoption of this Ordinance
shall be and remain in full force and effect and shall apply to each and
every the terms, conditions and provisions of this Ordinance as hereinabove
set forth.
Section 4. Eaoj'i word, phrase, sentence or section of the ordinance shall
be severable and the invalidity of any word, phrase, sentence or section
shall in no way or degree impair any other part or parts thereof.
Section 5. All ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 6. This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its
passage*
