AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CASTING BALLOTS BY
ELECTORS OF TIM VILLAGE WHO SMkLL BE ABSENT
FROIVI THE VILLAGE ON THE DAY OF TM ELECTION,
TO WIT: JUNEE 170 1941) AND PROVIDING PRO-
CEDURE FOR THE CASTING OF SUCH BALLOTS AIND
RECEIPT LM COUNTING OF THE SAME BY THE BOARD
OF ELECTION OF THE-i VILLAGE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE:
SECTION 10 All registered and qualified electors
of .Miami Shores Village who shall be absent from the Village
on the day called for the regular election to be held
June 17, 1941, may personally cast their ballots in said
election before departure from the Village with the Clerk
of the Village, after being duly registered, according to
the laws and ordinances of the Village, from May 30th, 19419
to and including June 15th, 1941 .
SECTION 2. Upon the receipt of absentee ballots as
provided for in the foregoing Section, the Clerk shall
properly safeguard them, and each of them, and upon election
day aforesaid,, he shall place the same in the ballot box pro-
vided for in said election, and thereafter said absentee
ballots shall be governed by the laws and ordinances of the
Village concerning elections held therein.
SECTION 3. Each word, phrase, sentence or section
of this ordinance shall be severable and the invalidity of
any word, phrase, sentence or section shall in no way or degree
impair any other part or parts thereof.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be effective
im- ediately upon its passage,
