O-77-39 MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE ORDINANCE NO. 77
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO CASTING BALLOTS BY
ELECTORS OF THE VILLAGE WHO SHALL BE ABSENT
FROM THE VILLAGE ON THE DAY OF THE ELECTION,
TO WIT: JUNE 202 19399 AND PROVIDING PROCEDURE
FOR THE CASTING OF SUCH BALLOTS AND RECEIPT AND
COUNTING OF THE SAME BY THE BOARD OF ELECTION
OF THE VILLAGE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE:
SECTION 1. All registered and qualified electors of
Miami Shores Village who shall be absent from the Village on the
day called for the regular election to be held June 20, 1939, may

cast their ballots in said eleetioftimith the Clerk of the Village,
after tieing duly registered, according to the laws and ordinances
of the Village, from May 16th, 1939, to and including June 17th, ;
1939.
SECTION 2. Upon the receipt of absentee ballots as pro-
vided for in the foregoing Section, the Clerk shall properly safe-
guard them, and each of them, and upon election day aforesaid, he
shall place the same in the ballot box provided for in said election,
and thereafter said absentee ballots shall be governed by the laws
and ordinances of the Village concerning elections held therein.
SECTION 3. Each word, phrase, sentence or section of this
ordinance shall be severable and the invalidity of any word, phrase,
sentence or section shall in no way or degree impair any other part
or parts thereof.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be effective immediately
upon its passage.
Unanimously passed and adopted this _GL_ day of
