SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL., AN '-ELECTION FOR WHICH'WILL BEHELD; JUNE 18., 1935., ,WITHIN .THE VILLAGE TO SUCCEED. FRANK .-O. PRUITT., JOBRM. CARLISLE.. CHARLES D. CLEGHORNv JOHN J. LINDSEY AND OTTO H. GOLL* BE IT ORDAINED BY MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE: SECTION 1. All candidates for Miami Shores Village' Council- to succeed the five- members of the Village Council., Frank 00 Pruitt,,, 4ohn M. Carlisle, Charles D. Cleghorn., John J. Lindsey and Otto H. Goll., shall be- nominated uponwritten petitions�,- signed by 10% of the registered qualified -electors of- the Village., said petitions--1 to be filed with the Village Clerk on or before May -4., 1955. Within ten-days after May 4,- 1955., the Clerk shal,l,,after due examination. of said petitions as _provided by law., and if he finds -that the same. comply- with the law governing elections in Miami Shore-s Villagein all respects both as to the qualifications of ,said candidate and of the requisites of said petition., shall ,certify that said petitions and the candidates for- whom said petitions,.-WeTe filed shall be declared to be. duly and properly nominated for said election',7. as- aforesaid. SECTION 2. After- certification of petitiona of the said , candidates as provided for in the foregoing section., � the Clerk shall give notice , of said election in accordance with the laws ,of said Village, and place the names of said candidates uponthe, official ballot of' said Village for said election. SECTION 3. Each word, phrase, sentence 'or section of this ordinance shall be- severable and the invalidity of any word, phr$Lse,, sentence or section shall in no way or degree impair any other part or parts thereof* SECTION 4. All ordinances and -parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION '5. That an emergency exists for the protection of the public welfare, life and property. SECTION. 6.
