O-14-32 MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE ORDINANCE NO, 140'- AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO DOGS AM LICENSES THEREFOR AND PROTIDING FaR THEIR INOCCULATION AGAINST RABIES AND PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS AND PENALTIES FOR TEE VIOLATION THEREOF* BE IT ORDAINED 13Y MIMI SHORES VILLAGE: Section 1* That from and after the fifteenth day of August,, 1932,, it shall be unlawful for any person.,. firm or corporation,, to own, keep., maintain or harbor any dog within the limits of Miami Shores Village, excepting and not includin§ trained racing dogs kept within the confines of a dog racing plant or track and adjoining premises. -without first having obtained 'therefor a * license from the Manager of said Village,, said license to be In force until the fifteenth day of August next after issuance of license, Section 20", A fee of Two ($20-00) Dollars shall be paid to the Village Manager fcr Issuance of licenseo A record of the omnership,, name, breed, color and sex of each dog so licensed# together with sueh---�� otber Information as may be necessary for Identifying the dog. so licensed shall be kept by the Village Manager, and the owner or custodian sball cause each dog licensed in accordance with this ordinance to wear a metal tag bearing the name of the Village and the number of said license and the current Year thereof� Section 3*" No license shall be Issued for the keeping of any dog until evidence has been produe.ed to the satisfaction of the village Mana. ger that within One Year last prior to applications said dog bas been Inocculated or vaccinated against rablesp and a certificate of any person licensed to practice veterinary medicine In the State of Florida, Or that of any person duly authorized by the Village Council of Miami Shores Village to administer antirabic vaccination or Inocculation may be accepted as evidence Of inocculation or vaccination;, Section 40' Any',p OlIcO officers employee or Official of the Village of Miami Shores is hereb7 quthorized and directed to capture an7 dog ru=ing at large in Miami Shores Village without a license tag as herein provided,, and to keep said dog confined for a period of seventy-two hoursq within which period of time the owner of said dog so captured ma7 redeem said dog upon obtaining a license for such dog and pa7ment of $1*00 in addition to the regular fee for license and inocculation,, and after the expiration of sevent7-two hours, each dog so captured and Impounded for the lack of license, shall be painlessI7 destro7ed unless redeemed* Section 5 An7 person, fixm or corporationq who himself, or through another shall violate any part of this ordinance shall be punished b7 a fine not to exceed Ten ($10*00) Dollars; Section 6� Every section., clauses sentence and phrase of this ordinance Is severable from the remainder and the Invalidity or failure to operate, of an7 part hereof, Shall In no wa7 or degree Impair an7 other part hereof*' Section 70 This ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication In the Miami Post., a newspaper published in Miami', Florida; Regular17 passed and adopted b7 the Council of Miami Shores Village$ Ju17 26, 1932, 4 As Mayor of the Village," Attest: -V1 and G1 �rk thereof'
