members present:
Mr. J. Robert Stobs, Chairman
Mr. Albert R. Toussaint
Mr. J. S. Palmer
Absent: Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr.
Mrs. Roberta Johnson
Mr Frank LuBien, Public Works Director, and Mr. William Fann,
Village Attorney, were also present.
(1) Minutes of the meeting of February 28, 1980, were approved
as written by motion made by Mr. Palmer, seconded by Mr. Toussaint and passed
unanimously.
(2) Request for permit to build on Lot "A", Weeks Subdivision,
Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Gardner requested approval to build
on this lot as platted for an approved building site although containing
only 6,954.33 sq. ft. As previously decided by Council the lots in the
Weeks Subdivision should be handled individually on a variance basis. Mr.
Toussaint moved approval for this variance. The motion was seconded by Mr.
Palmer and passed unanimously.
(3) Request by Lawrence K. Hull, 9350 N. E. 9th Ave., for
permit to construct a flat roof addition that is in excess
of the 15% limitation.
Mr. Hull asked for special consideration to construct this
flat roof addition with an overage of approximately 198 sq. ft., because it
will back up to the recently approved church facility. After a review of the
plan Mr. Toussaint moved that it be denied because it did not comply with the
requirements of Ordinance No. 403-78. The motion was seconded by Mr. Stobs
and passed unanimously.
(4) Request was made for permit to replace a wood shingle roof
with wood shingles, at 960 N. E. 95th St.
Mr. Elmer Gross of Jalco, Inc. requested permit to replace
a wood shingle roof on a tool shed and garage with wood shingles, at the home
of Mrs. Eugene Blackwell, 960 N. E. 95th St. The Board determined that this
