11-02-1978 Special MeetingSPECIAL MEETING MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD November 2, 1978 A special meeting of the Miami Shores Planning & Zoning Board was held at 5:00 p.m., at the Village Hall, with the following members present: Mr. Albert R. Toussaint, Chairman Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr. Mr. J. Robert Stobs Mrs. Roberta Johnson Mr. J. S. Palmer The meeting was called for the purpose of completing action on Mrs. Paula Clifford's plans for a new house to be built at 1201 N. E. 100th Street. At the Board meeting of October 26, 1978, action was not taken on the requested side setback variance pending receipt of a survey to locate the existing swimming pool, cabana, etc. After reviewing the surveyed dimensions, and proposed improvement dimensions, the following motion was made by Mr. Moyer: that the Board grant approval of the request due to the fact that an old frame house was demolished which had only a 6.8 side setback with a 10 ft. front setback, whereas the new house will have a 25 ft. front setback, and because of pecularities of the existing cabana and in order to line up the proposed house the Board recommends to the Council that a variance be granted for a 8'5" setback from the east property line. The motion was seconded by Mr. Stobs and passed 4/1 with Mrs. Johnson dissenting. The meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m. • Approved: Chairman
