05-19-1977 Regular Meeting1 1 1 MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING May 19, 1977 A meeting of the Miami. Shores Planning and Zoning Board was held at 7:30 p.m. , May 19, 1977, at the Village Hall. This meeting had been changed from the regular date of May 26th. The following Board members were present: Mr. James O. Denham, Chairman Mr. Kenneth R. Phoenix Mr. Albert R. Toussaint Absent: Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr. Mr. Robert Stobs, II Mr. William R. Bradford, Building and Zoning Director, was also present. Minutes of the last regular meeting were approved as written by motion made by Mr. Toussaint, seconded by Mr. Phoenix and passed. (1) A request was made by Mr. Henry Everett for approval of plans for remodeling the old Food Palace Building at 9636 N. E. 2nd Avenue, converting it into an office building. After reviewing the plans Mr. Phoenix moved that they be approved providing all building code regulations are met. The motion was seconded by Mr. Toussaint and carried unanimously. (2) A request was made by Mr. Joe Nordone, 74 N. E. 97th Street, for a setback variance on a carport in his backyard. After discussion and review of Mr. Nordone's plans the Board pointed out how he might place this carport without needing a variance. (3) Mr. R. L. Blue, through Mr. Phoenix, requested information on the use of Lots 15-16-17, Block 29, Miami Shores Section 1, for an office building. This is the vacant property on the north side of N. E. 96th Street, east of N. E. 2nd Avenue, 100 ft. of which is in the X Zone (parking or residential) and 50 ft. in the R Zone (residential). Chairman Denham stated that an application would have to be made for zoning change and zoning hearing. The Board will make a recommendation on setbacks for swimming pools and roofing materials permitted. The meeting adjoi r•ned at 8:40 p. m. Village Clerk Approved: 4/a' airman
