Minutes of the last meeting were approved as written by motion made
by Mr. Toussaint, seconded by Mr. Moyer and passed.
(1) A request was made by Harvey's Auto Service, 8909 Biscayne
Blvd. , to relocate a pole sign from its present location at the southwest
corner of the property to a new location at the northwest corner of the prop-
erty. It was reported that the State Dept. of Transportation had no objection

the request be approved if the sign meets all requirements of the building
code and does not interfere with the Gun Shop sign. The motion was seconded
by Mr. Stobs and passed unanimously.
(2) Hedge ordinance - the Planning Board was requested to review
the hedge height regulations. Mayor McIntosh stated that the particular
reference was to hedges extending into the alleys and definition of height as
to what grade. Other questions on this item were privacy walls or fences,
and walls on two streets. This subject was referred to Mr. Toussaint for
recommendations.
(3) Discussion of Comprehensive Planning Act - Mayor McIntosh
reported that the Council officially appointed the Planning & Zoning Board
as the official Planning Agency for compliance with this law. The next step
Mr. McIntosh stated is to update our Comprehensive Plan, either by the
Planning Board or an outside consultant. Chairman Denham stated that the
Board will determine what is going to be required and then make a recommend-
ation to Council. Mr. Denham will report on this at the next meeting.
(4) Planning for Miami Shores maintenance facilities. A letter
was received from the Village Manager regarding use of the present
