08-23-1973 Regular MeetingMIAMI SHORES VILLAGE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING August 23, 1973 A regular meeting of the Miami Shores Village Planning and Zoning Board was held at 7:30 p.m., August 23, 1973, at the Village Hall, with the following members present: present. Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr. Mr. James O. Denham Mr. Donald W. McIntosh Absent: Mr. Fred G. Astor, Chairman Mr. Kenneth R. Phoenix Mr. William R. Bradford, Building and Zoning Director, was also Mr. Denham was asked to take the chair in the absence of Mr. Astor. Minutes of the last meeting were approved as written by motion made by Mr. Moyer, seconded by Mr. McIntosh and passed. (1) A request for permit was made by the General Council of Assemblies of God, 9405 Park Drive, to add 4, 000 sq. ft. of warehouse area to their existing building. This addition would be at the northwest corner of the building. The Building Inspector reported that the parking as shown meets our requirements for that type of building but parking layout did not appear to be acceptable because the egress would create a traffic problem. Mr. McIntosh moved that the Board table action on this item since there is no one present to represent the applicant. The motion was seconded by Mr. Moyer and passed. (2) A request was made by Foglia Construction Co., to construct a 10 -unit apartment on the southwest corner of Biscayne Blvd. and 93rd Street, Lots 1 and 2, Block 63, Miami Shores Sub. Mr. Bob Foglia reported that he is working through Pollution Control for permit for a sewage treatment plant or use of the plant at 90th Street and N. E. 8th Avenue. Action was deferred on this plan until final plot plan is presented and proof of ownership. (3) A request was made by Mr. Jack Arias for permit to build on parts of lots between 95th and 96th Streets on the west side of Biscayne Blvd. This Boulevard frontage, Lots 1, 2, 3, 3A and 4, Block 75, has been divided by the owners into five building sites of 8125 sq. ft. wol.rthmore, without replatting. Mr. McIntosh moved that the Board defer action a requirement to check ownership of the remaining adjacent lots in that stri. The motion • • -2- was seconded by Mr. Moyer and passed. (3) The request made by Jack Arias to replat the property at 250 Grand Concourse was deferred until Mr. Arias can be present. The Planning Board members then discussed results of their research into zoning problems assigned for revision of our zoning ordinance.
