PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING
January 15, 1970
A special meeting of the Miami Shores Planning and Zoning Board
was held at 7:30 p. m. , January 15, 1970, at the Village Hall, with the
following members present:
Mr. Donald W. McIntosh, Chairman
Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr.
Mr. Thomas B. Baden
Mr. Irving E. Horsey
Mr. Fred G. Astor
Absent: None
Mr. William H. Bradford, Building and Zoning Director, was also
pre sent.
This meeting was called for the purpose of taking action on the final
plans of Mr. A. R. Marsico for an office building to be constructed on
Lots 25 and 26, Block 59. A letter from the Village Attorney was read
concerning the definition of the word "clinic" as it applies to zoning since
clinics are not permitted in this zone. In reviewing the plans the Board
questioned whether or not the parking would be adequate for the number of
offices shown. It was generally agreed that the six outside doors on one
side of the building were not desirable and that the floor area was being
crowded by too many offices.
Mr. Horsey moved that if the interior plan is revised to conform
with the sketch as originally presented so that both sides are the same as
the left side, that the Board recommend acceptance by the Council. Motion
died for lack of a second.
Mr. Astor then moved that the Board request the applicant to re-
design the interior to conform with the normal criteria of an office building
and re -submit same for consideration of the Planning Board. Motion was
seconded by Mr. Moyer and passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
