Shores Planning and Zoning Board was held at 9:00 a.m. , December 6, 1969, at the Village Hall, with the following members present: Mr. Donald W. McIntosh, Chairman Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr. Mr. Thomas B. Baden Mr. Irving E. Horsey Mr. Fred G. Astor Absent: None This meeting was called for the purpose of reviewing the proposed zoning map prepared by Harland Bartholomew & Associates and making a recommendation to the Council on the proposed changes. ing: After discussion of each location the Board recommended the follow - (1) Area south of dog track - that the zoning be left as residential or if zoning is to be changed that it be restricted so that it can be used only for parking or landscaping. (2) N. E. 2nd Avenue north of 101st Street - that the area north of 101st Street abutting N. E. 2nd Avenue be kept in the RS -6 zone. vacant (3) Behind the Village Hall - that CR zoning be placed on the/50 ft. lot west of the alley on 100th Street and also on the 75 ft. plot west of the alley on 101st Street. (4) Behind the Library - that the area be eliminated from the "I" zone and left as is. (5) Behind the 9999 building - that the 100 ft. east of the alley on N. E. 100th Street be zoned CR. (6) Property west of Howard Johnson's - that the 100 ft. west of the alley remain as is. (7) N. E. 2nd Avenue south of 94th Street to El Portal limits - that the area fronting on both sides of N. E. 2nd Avenue, including the triangular lot at Grand Concourse, be zoned RM -1. (8) Along the Railroad - that the area along the F. E. C. railroad be zoned as recommended on the Harland Bartholomew map. December 6, 1969 Page 2. (9) Biscayne Blvd. from 93rd Street south - that the areas in the RM -2 and C-2 zones be changed as recommended by Harland Bartholomew. (10) Bisca e Blvd. at northern limit - that the area on the N. W. corner of 105th Street and Biscayne Boulevard be zoned C-2 as recommended by Harland Bartholomew and that the other three areas at this location be zoned RM -2, (11) Strip along Biscayne Boulevard - that the area outlined on the proposed map and abutting Biscayne Blvd. be zoned RM -1 as recommended by Harland Bartholomew. It was further requested by the Board that the Council request Harland Bartholomew to eliminate all references to "town houses" in the text of the ordinance.
