10-14-1966 Regular Meeting• SPECIAL MEETING MIAMI SHORES PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD October 14, 1966 The regular Planning and Zoning Board meeting of October 13th was cancelled because of lack of a quorum and a special meeting was called for Friday, October 14th at 4:00 P. M. to review plans for a new church to be built on N. E. 2nd Avenue. The following members of the Boardwere present: Mr. Thomas B. Baden, Chairman Mr. M. B. Arnold Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr. Absent: Mr. Emrys C. Harris Mr. Donald. W. Hoefle (1) A plan was presented for the construction of a church by the Church of Christ on Lots 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, Block 36, Miami Shores Subdivision, which is on the east side of N. E. 2nd Avenue between 102nd and 103rd Streets. The plan as presented met all requirements with the exception of the front setback. A variance was requested to permit a front setback of 16.4 ft. instead of the required 25 ft. The architect felt a front setback of 25 ft. was more desirable but with the 25 ft. setback they could not meet the required 50 ft. between the nearest plot line. After some discussion Mr. Arnold moved that the Board approve the plot plan as presented and that they move the church back in order to have a 25 ft. setback on N. E. 2nd Avenue and grant a variance of 10 ft. on the distance requirement of 50 ft. between the nearest property line. Motion was seconded by Mr. Moyer and passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 4:30 P. M. Clerk • v Approved: airman
