09-08-1966 Regular MeetingMIAMI SHORES VILLAGE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING September 8, 1966 A regular meeting of the Miami Shores Planning and. Zoning Board was held at 7:30 P. M. , September 8, 1966, at the Village Hall with the following members present: Mr. Thomas B. Baden, Chairman Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr. Mr. Donald W. Hoefle Absent: Mr. Marion B. Arnold Mr. Emrys C. Harris Mr. William R. Bradford, Building and Zoning Director, was also present. Minutes of the last meeting were approved as written by motion made by Mr. Moyer, seconded by Mr. Hoefle and passed unanimously. (1) A request was made by the Advent Lutheran Church to pave Lots 10 and 11, Block 119, for a church parking lot. This is located on the east side of N. E. 2nd Avenue, south of 104th Street and across the street from the church. The plan provided for proper drainage and landscaping of the lot. Mrs. V. J. Kolton, 10317 N. E. 2nd Avenue, appeared at the meeting and objected to the use of this property, which is immediately adjacent to her home, for a parking lot. Mr. Hoefle stated that he did not see how we can deny them a permit to use this for a parking lot as according to the code it is per- missible. He then moved that it be approved with the following change: that a hedge be placed along the alley by reducing the front planting area to 5 ft. which would allow one foot on the alley. Mr. Moyer requested an amendment to the motion to the effect that in the event the hedge to the south of the subject property is removed for any reason that a hedge must be continued along the south line of the property, and that the minimum height of the plantings must be at least 3 feet. This amendment was accepted by Mr. Hoefle. Mr. Moyer seconded the amended motion and it was passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:20 P. M. Clerk
