06-23-1966 Regular MeetingMIAMI SHORES VILLAGE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING June 23, 1966 A regular meeting of the Miami Shores Planning and Zoning Board was held at 7:30 P. M. , June 23, 1966, at the Village Hall with the following members present: Mr. Thomas B. Baden, Chairman Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr. Mr. Emrys C. Harris Absent: Mr. M. B. Arnold Mr. Donald W. Hoefle Mr. William R. Bradford, Building and Zoning Director, was also present. Minutes of the last meeting were approved as written by motion made by Mr. Moyer, seconded by Mr. Harris and passed unanimously. (1) A request was made for permit.by Mrs. Ann Farmer, 1145 N. E. 92nd Street, Lot 24, Block 2, Bay Lure Subdivision, to close in a two - car garage that is detached from the house and install plumbing fixtures for a complete lavatory. This work was started without a permit. The garage floor has been raised 10 inches, awning type windows have been installed in part of the garage, the garage doors have been removed and some of the plumbing started. Mrs. Farmer stated that because her garage was lower than the street grade it couldn't be used because of standing water. After discussion, Mr. Harris moved that the permit be granted for the raising of the floor, the closing in of the garage doors and the installation of the proper plumbing connections with the proper drainage under our regulations for the washing machine and drier and for the water closet. Motion was seconded by Mr. Moyer and passed unanimously. Also, in regard to this permit, Mr. Moyer moved that the Board require a signed affidavit recorded in the deed that this property, the con- verted garage, will not be rented or used for living purposes. Motion was seconded by Mr. Harris and passed unanimously. (2) The Board discussed the Council's request for recommend- ations on amending the boat regulations as to where they may be kept or stored in residential areas. The matter was taken under advisement for further consideration at the next meeting. Clerk The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P. M.
