PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING
October 31, 1963
A special meeting of the Miami. Shores Village Planning and
Zoning Board was held at 7:30 P.M., October 31, 1963, at the Village
Hall, with the following members present:
Mr. Emrys C. Harris, Chairman
Mr. Marion B. Arnold
Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr.
Mr. Thomas B. Baden
Mr. Donald W. Hoefle
Absent: None
Mr. Charles H. Markel, Building and Zoning Director, was also
present.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were approved as written by
motion made by Mr. Moyer, seconded by Mr. Arnold and passed unanimously.
(1) This meeting was called for the purpose of considering the
plot plan and sketch for a small chapel to be built by the Presbyterian
Church at the northeast corner of 96th Street and 6th Avenue. Mr. William
E. Carpenter and Mr. John Turner, members of the church, were present
to answer questions concerning this plan. Mr. Markel reported that the
plan met all zoning requirements and that the parking areas were sufficient
for both the new chapel and the present sanctuary. After some discussion,
Mr. Arnold moved that the plot plan as submitted be recommended for
approval by the Planning Board. Motion was seconded by Mr. Baden and
passed unanimously.
