PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING
September 27, 1962
A regular meeting of the Miami. Shores Village Planning and Zoning
Board was held at 7:30 P. M. , September 27, 1962, at the Village Hall, with
the following members present:
Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr. , Chairman
Mr. Elwood Jones
Mr. Marion B. Arnold
Mr. Emrys C. Harris
Absent: Mr. Thomas B. Baden
Mr. Charles H. Markel, Building and Zoning Director, was also
present.
Minutes of the last meeting were approved a s written by motion
made by Mr. Jones, seconded by Mr. Arnold and passed unanimously.
(1) Plans were reviewed for the re -construction of a CBS
lumber storage shed to be built south of the Renuart-Bailey-Cheely retail
store at 96th St. and Park Drive. Upon motion made by Mr. Arnold,
seconded by Mr. Jones and passed, approval was recommended for this
building.
(2) Permit was requested by Mr. Marve A. Dublin, of
1240 N. E. 91st Terrace, to make an addition to his home using the
present side yard setback of 7-1/2 ft, which was a permitted setback in this
subdivision at the time the house was built. Mr. Arnold moved that this
be approved. Motion was seconded by Mr. Jones and passed unanimously.
It was reported that there had been another complaint about the
noise and odor from the disposal plant at Barry College and Mr. Markel
stated an adjustment had been made and that this had taken care of it.
In discussing the increase in deliveries being made to the College
it was the unanimous agreement of the Board that Mr. Markel be instructed
to take up the question of the traffic into the College at the early hours- of the
moring and have the Chief instruct these drivers to come in at the 115th St.
entrance.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 P. M.
