PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING
November 30, 1961
A regular meeting of the Miami Shores Village Planning and
Zoning Board was held at 7:30 P.M., November 30, 1961, (postponed
from November 23, Thanksgiving Day) at the Village Hall, with the
following members present:
Mr. Gordon H. Moyer, Jr. Chairman
Mr. Marion B. Arnold
Mr. Elwood Jones
Mr. Emrys C. Harris
Mr. Thomas B. Baden
Absent: None
Mr. Charles H. Markel, Building and Zoning Director, and Mr.
William Bradford, Assistant Director, were also present.
Minutes of the last meeting were approved as written by motion
made by Mr. Harris, seconded by Mr. Jones and passed unanimously.
(1) Approval was requested of a plot plan for the development
of the business property north of 90th Street, east of Biscayne Boulevard,
v, more specifically Lot 5 less the east 30 ft. and the north 25 ft. , Lot 6
,9 less the north 25 ft. and the west 11 ft. , Lots 7, 8, 9 less the property
W known as Uncle John's Pancake House and Lots 10 and 11 lying east of
E Biscayne Blvd., Asbury Park Subdivision. Mr. Ed Wolz, architect, stated
ccd the first building to be constructed will be the Kwik Chek store along the
east side of this property. After some discussion, Mr. Harris moved
k that the plot plan be approved as submitted with the recommendation that
• the final plans of the proposed building be submitted for approval of design
o when they are ready and it is the feeling of the Board that the design of
the proposed building should be tied in with the design of the existing Pan-
cake House, to the greatest extent possible. Motion was seconded by
Mr. Baden and passed unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 8:05 P.M.
