10-21-1959 Public HearingMIAMI SHORES VILLAGE PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETING October 21, 1959 Following the public hearing at the Miami Shores Country Club, the Miami. Shores Village Planning and Zoning Board convened to handle the unfinished business that would normally have been taken up on the following eviing, thus eliminating the regular meeting of October 22nd. All members of the Planning Board were present as well as the Building Inspector and Assistant Inspector. (1) The first item discussed was the unfinished business of a request for a variance by Mr. John E. MacDonald, 333 N. E. 92nd St., to put an addition on his house. At the last meeting, the Planning Board had postponed action until they had bad an opportunity to view the location. Mr. MacDonald had since revised his requested variance to four feet into the side setback, instead of five feet. After discussion Mr. Ha.i rs moved that in view of the fact that the neighbors have agreed to this in writing and of the fact that the space is limited because of same very beautiful trees, that this petition be recommended for approval on the basis that it will be a one-story structure exclusively. Motion was seconded by Col. Burke and passed by a 3/2 vote with Messrs. Jones and Moyer dissenting. (2) Mr. Dan Crane requested permit to build a home on the N. W. corner of IOlst St. and Miami Ave. with a variance on the rear setback of 1 ft. 8 in. Mr. Moyer moved that the request be granted for a 1 ft. 8 in. variance on the rear yard setback subject to a letter from the people just west of the property. Motion was seconded by Mr. Jones and passed unanimously. The meeting then adjourned. Approved: 0
