PENSION BOARD MEETING
November 9, 1982
A meeting of the Miami Shores Pension Board was held on Tuesday,
November 9, 1982, 8:00 a.m., in the Manager's office at the Village Hall,
with the following Board members in attendance:
Mayor Robert J. Lodge
Councilman Herbert Spahn
Mr. Joseph Gionfriddo
Village Manager Forney
Police Chief Fletcher
Ann Vigneron
One Vacancy thru resignation of Mr. John McCoy
Also present: Wally Wilson, Wyatt Company
Gail Macdonald, Pension Administrator
MINUTES - June 10, 1982.
Upon motion made by John Fletcher and seconded by Mr. Spahn the
minutes were unanimously approved as written.
REVIEW OF INVESTMENT STATEMENT.
Accepted as presented by Barnett Bank.
CANDIDATES FOR PENSION FUND TRUSTEE.
As instructed at the last meeting Mr. Wilson of the Wyatt Company,
sent invitations to 13 companies for proposals to manage the pension funds.
Proposals were received from the following 10 companies:
Barnett Bank
Dean Witter Reynolds
Flagship National Bank
The Investment Counsel
Merrill Lynch Asset Management
MH/Edie Investment Counsel
North Carolina National Bank
Security Trust
Southeast Bank, N.A.
Sun Bank
Of this group Mr. Wilson recommended consideration be given to the
following:
Investment Counsel
Merrill Lynch
North Carolina National Bank
Security Trust Company
Sun Bank
Upon receipt of a follow-up letter from Dean Witter Reynolds Inter -
Capital Inc., the Board agreed to interview either Dean Witter or Merrill
Lynch, as well as The Investment Counsel, North Carolina National Bank and

Sun Bank. The interview meeting with these candidates was scheduled for
Tuesday, November 30th, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
The Board further agreed to notify our present Trustee, Barnett
Bank, that we intend to terminate the Trust.
The meeting adjourned at 8:45 a.m.
