PENSION BOARD MEETING
An afternoon meeting of the Miami Shores Pension Board was held at 4:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, August 31, 1977 in the Council Chambers of Village Hall.
The following members were present: Joseph Farina (new elected Board Chairman),
Ralph Bowen, Robert Day, Dean Miller, John Fletcher and Ann Vigneron. Also
present were William Fann, Wallace Wilson, Edward Souder, Richard Harrison and
Hal Petrey. Absent was Earl Andersen.
Minutes of the previous April 5th meeting, having been approved by the previous
Chairman, were not read again.
Sergeant Ed Souder reported that the P.B.A. representative, Jerry Gill, was
grounded at the Tampa airport and that they would try to get some written material
to the Pension Board prior to the next Board meeting when this discussion could
be brought up again.
Wallace Wilson of the Wyatt Company discussed with the Board the State's request
to provide additional information yearly. No action was taken on this matter,
but it was generally felt that providing yearly figures to the State was an
excessive request.
John Fletcher brought up a matter concerning two employees who are reimbursed
through a Federal Grant. Bill Fann stated that these employees are not to be
considered permanent employees to be included in the Pension Plan.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:45 p,m.
