02-20-1962 Regular MeetingMIAMI SHORES VILLAGE PENSION BOARD MEETING - FEBRUARY 20, 1962 A meeting of the Miami Shores Village Pension Board was held on February 20, 1962, 3:30 P.M., at the Village Hall. The following members were present: C. Lawton McCall, Village Manager Stuart A. Senneff, Chief of Police John F. Saxon, Councilman J. Harrell Powell, citizen Mrs. David Cunningham, citizen John W. McIntyre, Director of Finance Absent: Mayor Dale Miller Mr. Louis Hirsh, the consulting actuary, was also present. The following resolution was read: 'Whereas, James O. Patten became 65 years of age on November 6, 1961, and is therefore eligible for retirment as authorized by Miami Shores Pension Plan, as amended by Ordinance 291; and "Whereas, he entered service on February 1, 1941 and worked continuously through January 31, 1962 giving him a service credit for pension purposes of 20 years; and "Whereas, his average annual salary for the last five years amounts to $4, 788.00, and the annuity will amount to $1, 915.20 annually. "Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved that James O. Patten will be retired with a monthly pension of $159.60 for life. In addition, Officer James O. Patten will receive $325.23 which is hipsproportionate share in the Special Fund as provided under Section 20 (j), Ordinance No. 291. "Be it Further Resolved: that the previous resolution of January 16, 1962 pertaining to the retirement of James O. Patten is hereby rescinded. " Upon motion made by Chief Senneff and seconded by Mrs. Cunningham, the above resolution was unanimously passed. The 1961 annual report of the actuary was accepted on a motion made by Mrs. Cunningham, seconded by Chief Senneff and passed. The meeting adjourned at 4:00 P. M.
