06-07-1960 Regular MeetingMIAMI SHORES VILLAGE PENSION BOARD MEETING - JUNE 7, 1960 A meeting of the Pension Board was held on June 7, 1960, 3:30 P. M. , at the Village Hall. The following members were present: Messrs. Claussen, Franco, McCall and Senneff. Absent: Messrs. McIntyre, Powell and Mrs. Pentecost. Minutes of the last regular meeting were approved as written. An application for retirement annuity was made by Henry Hampton, and upon motion made by Chief Senneff and seconded by Mr. Franco, the following resolution was unanimously passed: Whereas, Henry Hampton appears to be 67 years of age this year and is therefore eligible for retirement as authorized by the Miami Shores Pension Plan; and Whereas, he entered service on December 3, 1952 and worked continuously through May 3411960, giving him a service credit for pension purposes of six years; and Whereas, his average annual salary for the last five years amounts to $3109. 15; Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved: That Henry Hampton be retired with a monthly pension of $31.09 for life. A letter of June 2, 1960 was received from the Little River Bank and Trust Company, outlining securities they recommend purchasing for the Pension Truxt . After Mr. Franco talked with the Trust Officer of the Bank on the phone concerning these investments, he moved that they be approved. Motion was seconded by Chief Senneff and passed unanimously.
