MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE
PENSION BOARD MEETING - DECEMBER 1, 1959
A meeting of the Pension Board was held on December 1,
1959, 3:30 P. M. , at the Village Hall. The following members were
present: M. J. Franco, J. H. Powell, Mrs. Jack Pentecost, C.
Lawton McCall, S. A. Senneff and J. W. McIntyre. Mr. Louis Hirsh,
our actuary, was also present.
The Secretary read the Stanford Duby resolution which is.
attached and made a part of these minutes. A motion was made by
Mr. Powell and seconded by Mrs. Pentecost, to pass the resolution.
The motion was unanimously passed.
The proposed resignations of William Hoffman and Will Hightower
were discussed. They plan to resign the first of the year. Hoffman's
monthly retirement will be $55.07 and Hightower's monthly retirement
will be $72. 75. It was decided to put off any action on these two men
until after January 1, 1960.
A short discussion on methods of presenting to the Villagers
that their insurance policies should be made out with a Miami Shores
address brought out two ideas. First, to have it regularly in our
monthly bulletin and secondly, to have a stamp made reminding people
to change their policies and use the stamp on all outgoing Village mail.
The meeting adjourned at 3:55 P. M.
