12-01-1959 Regular Meeting• MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE PENSION BOARD MEETING - DECEMBER 1, 1959 A meeting of the Pension Board was held on December 1, 1959, 3:30 P. M. , at the Village Hall. The following members were present: M. J. Franco, J. H. Powell, Mrs. Jack Pentecost, C. Lawton McCall, S. A. Senneff and J. W. McIntyre. Mr. Louis Hirsh, our actuary, was also present. The Secretary read the Stanford Duby resolution which is. attached and made a part of these minutes. A motion was made by Mr. Powell and seconded by Mrs. Pentecost, to pass the resolution. The motion was unanimously passed. The proposed resignations of William Hoffman and Will Hightower were discussed. They plan to resign the first of the year. Hoffman's monthly retirement will be $55.07 and Hightower's monthly retirement will be $72. 75. It was decided to put off any action on these two men until after January 1, 1960. A short discussion on methods of presenting to the Villagers that their insurance policies should be made out with a Miami Shores address brought out two ideas. First, to have it regularly in our monthly bulletin and secondly, to have a stamp made reminding people to change their policies and use the stamp on all outgoing Village mail. The meeting adjourned at 3:55 P. M. APPROVED: ate: 062,eitadiA/Li Chairman Secretary PENSION BOARD RESOLUTION NO, 2 STANFORD V. DUBY RETIREMENT • WHEREAS, Stanford V. Duby became 65 years of age on October 11, 1959 and is therefore eligible for retirement as authorized by the Miami Shores Pension Plan; and WHEREAS, he entered service on August 1, 1953 and worked continuously to October 31, 1959, a period of six years and three months, giving him a service credit of five years; and WHEREAS, his average monthly salary for the last five years is $216.66; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Stanford V. Duby be retired with a monthly pension of $21.67 for life. Passed and adopted December 1, 1959. • • • MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE PENSION BOARD MEETING - November 3, 1959 3:45 Pm. Mr. Powell absent. A letter from Stanford Duby was read requesting retire- ment as of 10/31/59. Chief Senneff made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Pentecost that the letter be accepted and forwarded to Mr. Louis Hirsh, actuary, for processing. There was a report on a meeting with Mr. Boggs of the State Attorney General's office at Miami Beach by Mrs. Pentecost and Mr. McIntyre. Adjournment at 4 P. M. APPROVED: 41,Cfrkti Chairman
