Chairman von Bittner suggested to leave the natural color of
the tile and not paint It white, especially since the
historic photograph clearly showed that the tile was not
painted In the 40's.
Ms. Courtney agreed with Chairman von Bittner and added that
the pumphouse roof dosen't have to match the existing roof In
color. Perhaps as the remaining roofing surfaces require re-
roofing, those tiles also will not be painted.
Rev. Kvetko stated that If they were to have the Alhambra
clay the Installed, he felt that it should be painted white
to match the other roofing surfaces. Rev. Kvetko was also
concerned that the roof structure could not support anything
but asphalt shingles.
Chairman von Bittner suggested the Church request an engineer
to evaluate the structure and submit a report stating whether
the structure can support the weight of the tile. The report
submitted Indicated the engineer never personally visited the
site.
Rev. Kvetko amended the application to request Alhambra to be
painted white.
