HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD
MAY 20, 1985
A regular meeting of the Historic Preservation Board of
Miami Shores Village was held on Monday, May 20, 1985. The meeting
was called to order by Margo Newton, at 7:35 p.m., at the Village
Hall. The following members were present:
Margo Newton, Chairman
Gregory Anderson
Absent: Henry D. Gaggstatter
Ralph Renick, Resigned as of 5/16/85
Also present: Ivan Rodriguez, Site Survey Consultant
Marty Stofik, Site Survey Grant Manager
Dr. Robert S. Butler, Councilman
Since there was no quorum, no action could be taken.
1. MINUTES

2. COVENANTS - STATUS REPORT
Discussion took place. Reason for two refusals to sign,
Mrs. Sidney Weise was concerned that the covenant was not as
represented to her.
Suggestion was made that Council revise covenant to be in
accordance with ordinance. Board should make request.
4. SITE SURVEY - PROGRESS REPORT & DISCUSSION
Ivan. Rodriguez reported that the prelimary work is good.
91st St., 91st Terr., & 92nd St. have been completed by
Marty Stofik. Also ten others on which there are designation
reports.
5. HISTORIC REGISTER NOMINATION - PROGRESS REPORT
A letter was received from Tallahassee from Michael Zimny,
regarding the nomination of the Grand Concourse Apartments,
and the Old Pump House.
6. Candidates for the Historic Preservation Board were discussed.
A letter from Patricia Stubbs, indicating willingness to aid in
Site Survey was discussed.

Shores Heritage Council Meeting was discussed. Meeting will
be held at the Community Center, Wednesday, May 22, 7:30 p.m.
