with the following members present:

Victor D. Griffith
2) MINUTES:
Minutes of the meeting were corrected to reflect that
Mrs. Stofik attended meetings at Viscaya and not Tallahassee.
Also, Mr. Renick was appointed as a member of Dade County
Arts in Public Places Trust. Mr. Griffith moved for approval
of minutes of April 25th, as corrected, seconded by Mr. McCall,
and carried unanimously.
3) REVIEW OF PROPERTIES NOMINATED FOR LANDMARK.DESIGNATION
a. IVA M. KAPP, 269 N.E. 104 STREET
Landmark Fact Sheet was reviewed by the Board, Mrs,
Kapp was present and advised that she resided in this
house for forty years. She could not offer the Board
historical information on the structure.
Mr. McCall observed that many of the structures considered
for designation were for sale, namely, the Kapp residence,
the McGrath home, the Pruitt's and the Cawthon house, He
questioned the Board's policy on this. The Board, following
discussion, was in accord that the quality of the residence
did not change just because the house was for sale, and
consideration for designation was for the structure, not
the owner.
Following further discussion, the Board agreed that this
structure, built in 1925, had no unusual significance,
either architecturally or historically to warrant landmark
designation. Mr. Dixon moved we do not recommend landmark
designation of the Kapp residence. Mrs, Stofik, passed the
gavel, and seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
