11-04-1993 Regular MeetingCODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 4, 1993 A regular meeting of the Miami Shores Village Code Enforce- ment Board was held on Thursday November 4, 1993 at the Miami Shores Village Hall. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Asmus at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Chairman Barry Asmus Daniel B. Owens John L. Patnik Jr. Prospero G. Herrera II Thomas Caldwell (arrived 7:35 P.M.) Ivor Hegedus Margaret Burch Also Present:Mr. Frank LuBien, Director of Code Enforcement Mr. Richard Trumble,Code Enforcement Inspector Mr. Jean Placide, Code Enforcement Inspector Ms. Theresa Lyles, Code Enforcement Inspector Mr. LuBien, Mr. Trumble, Mr. Placide and Ms. Lyles were sworn In for the meeting. 411 1. Minutes of October 7, 1993 Mr. Caldwell moved to approve the Minutes of the October 7, 1993 meeting as submitted. Mr. Owens seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. 2. Case 3435 103 NW 97 Street Rigo QuiJada Ms. Isobel QuiJada was sworn In. Ms. QulJada stated that she had the sliding door Installed because the original door needed to be replaced and she also Installed an Interior partition. After a discussion regarding the unauthorized construction, Ms. Burch moved for a Finding of Fact and Conclusion of Law that a violation exists to Section 6-4 of the Miami Shores Village Code and ordered If not corrected in 30 days, a fine of $25 per day will become effective. Mr. Patnik seconded the motion and It passed unanimously. (Mr. Caldwell abstained from voting since he did not hear the entire discussion.) • Code Enforcement Board - 2 - November 4, 1993 Case 3542 • 246 NE 92 Street Ray Hacker Mr. Placide stated that the violation was not In compliance as of today. After a discussion regarding the loose and broken tiles, Ms. Burch moved for a Finding of Fact and Conclusion of Law that a violation exists to Section 12-133 of the Miami Shores VIIIage Code and ordered If not corrected In 30 days, a fine of $25 per day will become effective. Mr. Herrera seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Case 3573 142 NW 103 Street Akos Aczel Mr. Placide stated that the violation was not In compliance as of today. After a dlscusslon regarding the general unsightliness, Mr. Owens moved for a Finding of Fact and Conclusion of Law that a violation exists to Section 10-1 of the Miami Shores Village Code and ordered If not corrected In 30 days, a fine of $25 per day will become effective. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion and It passed unanimously. Case 3576 • 46 NW 96 Street Doris & Lizette Grimaldi Mr. Placide stated that the violation was not In compliance as of today. After a dlscusslon regarding the overgrown foliage, Ms. Burch moved for a Finding of Fact and Conclusion of Law that a violation exists to Section 10-1 of the Miami Shores VIIIage Code and ordered If not corrected in 30 days, a fine of $25 per day will become effective. Mr. Herrera seconded the motion and It passed unanimously. Case 3578 336 NE 98 Street Ms. Elsie Baioff Mr. Placide stated that the violation was not In compliance as of today.
