A regular meeting of the Miami Shores Village Code 'Enforcement
Board was held on April 2, 1992 at 7:30 pm at the Miami Shores
Village Hall. The following members were In attendance:

1. Minutes - March 5, 1992
Ms. Burch moved to approve the minutes as written. The motion was
seconded by Mr. Owen and passed unanimously.
2. Hearing, case 2595
Failure to obtain an occupational license

Owner: Hubert H. Curson
Mr. Trumble Introduced the case and after much discussion, Mr.
Caldwell moved to dismiss the case with the request that Dr. Curson
write a letter to Mr. LuBien stating that he Is over 65 years of
age and less then $1,000 in capital investment In his business and
has only one employee on a part-time basis. The motion was seconded
by Mr. Patnik and passed unanimously.
3. Hearing, case 2531
Unauthorized construction/alterations
27 NE 94 Street
Owner: Willie J. Brown
After a discussion Ms. Burch made a motion for Finding of Fact and
Conclusion of Law a violation exists to Sec 6-4. An Administration
fee of $110 be assessed, and If the violation Is not corrected In
the next 30 days, a fine of $25 per day be levied. Mr. Henderson
seconded the motion and passed by a unanimous roll call vote.

Mr. Roche introduced the case and after a discussion, Mr. Owens made a
motion for Finding of Fact and Conclusion of Law a violation exists and
ordered an administration fee of $110 be assessed and If not In com-
pliance within the next 30 days a $25 a day fine be levied. Mr.Caldwell
seconded the motion and passed by a unanimous roll call vote.
5. Hearing, case 2583

Owner: Germaine A. Remus
Mr. Trumble Introduced the case and advised the Board that a permit had
been Issued and corrective work begun. After a discussion Mr. Hender-
son moved to dismiss the case and Ms. Burch seconded the motion and the
motion passed unanimously.
6. Hearing, case 2593
Inoperable vehicle on premises
461 NE 93 Street
Owner: Marie Marthe Jean
Mr. LuBlen explained to the Board that Ms. Jean was given a 30 day ex-
tension by Mr. Trumble to come Into compliance. With this explanation,
Ms. Burch made a motion to waive the administrative fee as this time
and the owner must be In compliance within 30 days or a $25 a day fine
will be assessed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Caldwell and passed
unanimously.
7. Hearing, case 2598

Owner, Norman L. Salzberg
Mr. Trumble introduced the case to the Board and explained that the
property has been brought Into compliance by 80% and Mr. Salzberg is
working very hard as to being in total compliance. Mr. Henderson made
a motion to dismiss the case, the motion was seconded by Ms. Burch the
roll call vote was as follows: Mr. Caldwell, Mr. Patnik, Mr. Owens,
Ms. Burch, Mr. Henderson YES; Mr. Asmus, NO, the motion passed.

Owner: The Hemisphere National Bank
Mr. LuBlen explained to the Board that he and Mr. Trumble did an in-
spection of the property and contacted Hemisphere National Bank and
they requested a 30 day extension. Mr. LuBlen further explained that
the BAnk does want to bring the property into compliance but the pro-
cess will be time consuming.
Mr. Caldwell made a motion to grant the Bank a 90 day extension, to
come into compliance and Ms. Burch seconded the motion. The roll call
vote was as follows: Mr. Caldwell, Mr. Patnik, Mr. Owens, Ms. Burch,
Mr. Henderson YES: Mr. Asmus, NO, the motion passed.

9. Hearing, case 2611
Auto repairs in residential zone
380 NW 112 Terrace
Owner: Rosita Moss/ Lordeus Exemplaire
Mr. Roche introduced the case and explained the details of the case.
After a discussion Mr. Henderson made a motion to levy a $250 Admin-
istrative fee to the property owner and Mr. Owens seconded the motion.
After further discussion, the roll call vote was as follows: Mr.
Henderson, Mr. Asmus YES; Mr. Caldwell, Mr. Patnik, Mr. Owens, Ms.
Burch NO, the motion failed.
After further discussion, Mr. Caldwell moved to levy a $110 Admin-
istrative fee to the property owner, Mr. Owens seconded the motion and
the motion passed unanimously.
10.Hearing, case 2615
Failure to obtain an occupational license.

Owner: Cecilia D. Hudson
Mr. Roche Introduced the case and explained the details of the case and
that the violation has not been corrected.
Ms. Burch made a motion for Finding of Fact and Conclusion of Law that
there Is a violation that does exist to Sec 14-17 of the Village Code
and an Administrative fee of $110 be levied and If not corrected within
30 days a $25 a day fine be assessed. The motion was seconded by
Mr. Caldwell and passed unanimously.
11. Hearing, case 2618
Failure to obtain an occupational license.
54 NW 104 Street
Owner: David Campbell
Mr. Roche introduced the case and explained the details of the case and
that the violation has not been corrected.
Mr. Caldwell made a motion for Finding of Fact and Conclusion of Law
that there Is a violation that does exist to Sec 14-17 and an
Administrative fee of $110 be levied and If not corrected within 30
days a $25 a day fine be assessed. MR. Henderson seconded the motion
and passed unanimously.
12. Hearing, case 2612
Failure to obtain an occupational Ilcense.
200 NW 111 Terrace
Owner: Fritz Button
Mr. Roche introduced the case and explained that the property owner
presented a statement that he was the home owner and that his cousin
lives In the home but that he, Mr. Button was the home owner.
Mr. Henderson made a motion to dismiss the case, Mr. Caldwell seconded
• the motion and passed unanimously.

Failure to obtain an occupational license.

Owner: Marie Therese Joseph
Mr. Roche Introduced the case and explained that the property owner
has not corrected the violation.
Ms. Burch made a motion for Finding of Fact and Conclusion of Law
that a violation does exist to Sec 14-17 the Village Code and that
an Administration fee of $110 be levied and If the violation Is not
corrected within 30 days a $25 a day fine be assessed. The motion
was seconded by Mr. Caldwell and passed unanimously.
A motion for adjournment was made at 8:30pm.
