Mr. Joseph Lodge went over the details of the evening of February 5th and advised the Board of the following facts: a) this was not a malfunction of the system as it operated perfectly when reactivated; b) a jarring sound can set the alarm off - however, there were no unusual sounds that night, confirmed by Mrs, Lodge, who was up late in the evening; c) strong winds can affect the system - hurricane center advised the velocity was 5 miles per hour that evening - not sufficient to set off the alarm; d) someone attempting to enter the premises can set, off the system; Mr, Lodge believes this was so as his dog reacted in an unusual manner and on the following morning, February 6th, it was discovered that the glove compartment of an unlocked vehicle was opened, The Chairman, from personal experience, sympathized with Mr. Lodge and was in complete accord with the reasons recited by Mr, Lodge for activation of alarm system.
