Dear Building Official:
This letter is to inform you that it I have performed a visual inspection of the installation
of the Door D3 at the above project. The door is installed with the appropriate mullion
as per the permit drawings. The approx. 3" gap between the mullion and the existing
steel column is adequately closed with a 1x8 wood board fastened to the steel column
with tek screws approx. 8" oc. It is completely sealed with silicone in order to preserve
the building envelope. To the best of my knowledge, belief, & professional judgment,
the installation of the door, mullion, and board closure are in accordance with the intent
of the permit documents and the requirements of the 2014 Florida Building Code.

Because the 4"x4" mullion (by others) is the only structural member, not the wood bucks,
this condition is structurally adequate. The wood bucks are secured to resist impact, but do not carry
a structural load.
