budget hearing was held in the Council Chambers of Village Hall on
12, 1995, commencing at 6:05 P.M. with the following members present:
Mayor Imburgia
Cesar Sastre
Michael Boyle
William Heffernan
Mary Ross Agosta
Michael R. Couzzo, Jr.
William Fann
Barbara Fugazzi
PRESENTATION OF FISCAL YEAR 1996 GENERAL FUND BUDGET
Mr. Coi»7o outlined the budget process.
ITEM #2 PUBLIC DISCUSSION OF FISCAL YEAR 1996 BUDGET
Mayor Imburgia stated that in accordance with Florida Statute 200.065, (2) (e) 1, the first
substantive issue to be discussed will be the percentage increase in millage over the roll -back
rate. The Village Council has tentatively adopted a General Fund Budget of $8,269,552
supported by a millage of 8.493, which represents no increase over the roll -back rate. Mayor
Imburgia entertained discussion from the Council and from the public regarding the tentative
millage rate and proposed General Fund Budget. There were no comments from either the
Council nor the public.
ITEM #3 A RESOLUTION FIXING THE FINAL MILLAGE RATE FOR 1995 TAX
LEVY OF MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE.
The Clerk read the Resolution. Mr. Boyle moved approval of the Resolution. Mr. Sastre
seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor.
ITEM #4 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE ANNUAL
BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1995;
ADOPTED ON AN EMERGENCY BASIS.
The Clerk read the Ordinance. Mr. Boyle moved to adopt the Ordinance on an emergency basis.
Mrs. Ross Agosta seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor.
ITEM #5 ADJOURNMENT
The second and final public hearing on the Fiscal Year 1996 General Fund Budget was
adjourned at 6:12 P.M.
