BUDGET WORKSHOP
MIAMI SHORES VILLAGE COUNCIL
July 19, 1983 - following the regular Council meeting

Also present: Village Manager Forney
William F. Fann, Jr., Village Attorney
Frank LuBien, Building/Code Enforcement Officer
Interested citizens
The following budgets were reviewed:
BUILDING & ZONING=
Mr. Forney reported that the Building Director had requested
a fulltime Code Enforcement man and a halftime secretary.
Discussion followed concerning limiting the Historical Board
work and pro's and con's on more Code Enforcement.
Mr. Bob Kroboth, 257 N. E. 103rd St., and Mr. James Dickey,
504 N. E. 101 St. argued in favor of more code enforcement.
On a poll of the Council it was unanimously decided to pro-
vide for a fulltime Code Enforcement Officer.
LEGAL
Questioned printing expenses - for Code reprinting.
VILLAGE MANAGER
Mr. Forney had cut back parttime Personnel Director and
lowered consulting engineering services to $2,000.00.
A proposed annual report at a cost of $4,000.00 was also
removed.
Departmental contingency funds had been removed from all
departments.
MAYOR & COUNCIL
No changes made.
The meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
